A few weeks ago I was in Wellington on business and called at your Wellington store to top up my winter wardrobe and I want you to know what a great time my daughter,a friend and I had there. Your staff were just amazing and could not do enough for us. It was great to be able to try the clothes on and get that good fit. We all really enjoyed our time in the store. I have worn Long Island clothes for a number of years and love the garments and always get lots of great comments from friends and those I meet as I travel around the country attending meetings in my capacity as National President of Embroiderers Guilds for NZ, they get plenty of exposoure. Keep up the great work, I love when the catalogue arrives.

Still Stunning at 70
You may recall that one of your staff told you about my wearing all Long Island clothes for my impending wedding. I had asked her opinion for wearing a Tahiti Wrap over my pintucked top and Lounge Pants. The wrap duly arrived and was donned for the event. A teal necklace, bought from Long Island some time ago, filled in the neckline nicely and gave some colour.
Having been on my own for 23 years years and in my 70th year, naturally I appreciated any guidance from 'people in the business' as are your staff. Just received the latest catalogue. As usual, we are spoilt for choice with your lovely selection.

You Always Need a LBD

Nice shape, not too long

I just want to tell you my absolute Best Buy for a long time has been your Boiled Wool Eiffel Vest (mine is grey).
Was near Geelong (VIC for 4 weeks) and the weather turned really cold. The vest went everywhere (shopping, lunch, church...) and was very cosy. Also went to Wellington for a few days - wore it every day (my well cut rain jacket fits over it). I am SOOOO pleased with it. Looks fabulous with jumpers and my cream Kimono Top too. So a big thank you to you all.

First time ever I ordered
This is the first time I have ordered from Long Island and am impressed with the service – very helpful and efficient. Only disappointment was not being able to get an advertised product as my size never arrived! (Editor: only very occasionally for reasons beyond our control this does happen and it frustrates us as much as it frustrates our customers.) Like your sizes too – haven’t been a Medium in a top for years and the style is almost too big!

Popular in London too
I’m a New Zealander and I happened to place an order with you when I was home on holiday late last year – I was very pleased with the service I received and wear the tops I bought (mesh cowl necks) all the time. I’ve been in London for nearly 5 years and find that while there are a small range of shops (mainly online) that cater for larger sizes here … there are a few things that frustrate me!
I’ve found that the fabric here is never hard wearing or good quality enough to survive more than 2-3 months of normal washing….. The elastane content in New Zealand clothing tends to make them harder wearing and recover better from washing. Also it’s just a better quality and range of fabric to begin with, e.g. I can’t get mesh clothing like the Tahiti Tops and others anywhere else in London yet it’s so flattering!
By buying from New Zealand I also get to wear things that no one else has, in colours that aren’t necessarily the current trend. That’s always a winner with me…. I would normally get the order delivered to my parents in NZ … but I figured since you appeared to deliver here, (Editor: we certainly do!) I might as well by pass them this time and give them a break!
